Echiuran Worms
Hi Mark! sounds like you're having an exciting time! Looks like the weather has cooperated as well. I was very interested in the Echiuran worm, I've never seen or heard of one. Are they specific to cold water seas?
Loved the analogy to a balloon :)
Aside from the science, are you enjoying the sea experience? Isn't it wonderful being out there with nothing else around?
Stay safe, Lollie

Hello Lollie
Im having a blast out here! There is so much to learn and experience. As for the Echiuran worms they are cool arent they. Im not sure exactly what their range i. We have a relative of them in California. There they are called "Fat Inkeeper" worms as they frequently share a U-shapped burrow with a shrimp in a symbiotic relationship. We are seeing a lot of brittle stars, snails and some polychaete worms. The science is great up here and I cant wait to return. Im sure you know the feeling. Good to hear from you again.
Mark
