Going home is bittersweet for me. I have made some really wonderful friends at McMurdo and in the Dry Valleys. Few of whom I will ever see again because our lives are scattered all around the globe. Also, I really enjoy life down here- it is pretty simple, very entertaining, and this world is so beautiful.
On the other hand, I do miss my dog, Lucy. I miss my home and community. I am looking forward to seeing my other friends and family.
All this leads me to conclude that this is not my last time in Anarctica. Too much "good stuff" going on down here.
