Hi, I was wondering how the UV-Vis Spectrophotometry test affects the other experiments, such as Chlorophyll-a and Bacterial Production, or vice versa. Thanks!
The DOM team uses the UV-Vis spectrophotometer to determine the actual concentration of Chlorophyll-a in each of our samples, but doe not use it for Bacterial Production. Bacterial Production uses a scintillation counter to determine the productivity of the radioactively labeled bacteria.
