The major goal of the project is to test for climate change - is it occurring and how is it effecting the Bering Sea. How those questions are being answered are the results of many scientists working together since everything is so interrelated. On a finer scale, for example, we are testing the water depth and creating profiles of temperature, conductivity, salinity, nutrients, oxygen levels. The hypothesis is if the climate is changing, then we should be able to find measurable effects in the above variables. Also, if those variables have changed, then what are the trophic levels responses?
