Could my dog Bella a Labrador Retriever live in Alaska? Why I'm asking is because Bella likes to swim. In Alaska the body's of water are much colder than Florida and the sand is much different: rocky and hard...... Would the sand hurt her feet?

GREAT QUESTION GABBY,

I am so glad that you got back onto the website.

Yes, I am sure Bella could live there, but would be very different for her.

She would probably have to swim in the lakes and only for a few months in the summer.

It would be much colder, but people do have dogs in Barrow, Alaska. She would have to adapt to the cold.

Her feet would probably be fine though, because the roads are dirt and not so rocky.

My guess is that she would be happier swimming in Florida.

Great question Gabby! Yeah!
