Kirk, I'm sure you have mixed emotions about leaving Antarctica. It's a beautiful place full of wonder. I have really enjoyed reading about your adventures. You've given us some great resources and new questions to find answers to. Well done! Have a safe trip home- and get some REST!:0 Lollie

Is the end or is it the beginning???

HI Lollie,

You are definitely correct about the mixed feelings. Sitting here talking to Shelley we are discussing where we go from here. I like to look at experiences, not as something being over but rather as beginning something new. One of the things I hope students learn from all of the PolarTREC teachers is that learning new things is an exciting adventure that a person can make happen for themselves.

As you previously mentioned, it would be great to have a Texas PolarTREC get together in the near future.
